The Histology Assistant 1 obtains and processes pathology specimens while maintaining positive specimen identification, assists histology technicians, and maintains laboratory equipment to ensure quality preparation. This role also involves performing necessary clerical and computer tasks, executing frozen section staining, and labeling slides to support diagnostic evaluation.
The minimum requirement for this position is a High School diploma or GED equivalent, with no prior experience necessary. Candidates must also communicate effectively, demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance, and participate in professional development.
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Histology Assistant 1 to join their team! This role will be Full time evening shift, Monday-Friday.
