The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse, functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, operating basic medical equipment, collecting specimens, and alerting staff to changes in patient condition.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and maintain a current Certified Nursing Assistant certification. Experience of up to six months or an equivalent combination of education and training is required for this role.
Under the leadership of the departmental Nursing Director and the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate patient care. The Certified Nursing Assistant works under close supervision of a licensed nurse and performs a variety of basic patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs of patients.
Requires a high school diploma or GED state certification or similar demonstrated ability.
Requires up to six months of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Licensure, Registrations & Certifications Requires and maintains a Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
