The Peer Recovery Support Specialist assists individuals in crisis to regain control of their lives and recovery processes. They provide resources and mental health support in the community.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery. Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist is required for senior positions.
Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC), Norman, OK is currently recruiting for a Recovery Support Specialist to join their Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Team. The PACT team goes out into the community to meet our consumers where they are at by providing resources and mental health support. This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist individuals of all ages in crisis in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers. This position provides flexibility, including opportunities for non-standard hours that include generous shift differentials for non-standard hours.

This agency requires coverage 24 hours, 7 days per week. Work hours and location may vary depending on business necessity. Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
