• Hours: Monday through Friday, shift times may vary.

• The Specimen Processor is responsible for operating and troubleshooting the pre-analytical automation if applicable and as assigned.
• Will routinely register patients, verify patient identity and perform test order entry into laboratory information system accurately and efficiently to ensure proper testing and charges of patient account.
• Receive, prepare, and process all lab samples delivered to the laboratory.
• Provides support such as answering telephones, faxing reports, and send-outs.
• Provides training and/or orientation for internal employees and external customers.
• Promotes and maintains a professional manner in all situations.

Required

High school graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of applicable clearance as outline in Human Resources policy HR-106 with 90 days of commencing employment.
