The role involves assisting with direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, assisting with hygiene and feeding, performing routine procedures like EKGs and skin preps, and scheduling diagnostic tests. Responsibilities also include timely response to call lights, recognizing changes in patient condition, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent direct patient healthcare experience, with documentation required at hire. Essential requirements include critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and current BLS certification or obtaining it within 30 days of hire.
