This role supports daily operations by managing medical assistant functions, handling phone volume, assisting with clinical and administrative queues, completing medication prior authorizations, and processing various patient documents within the EMR. Responsibilities also include occasionally rooming patients, taking vitals, and submitting/following up on provider-ordered tests and referrals.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, though a Bachelor's degree in a related health science field is preferred. Candidates must possess strong computer and data entry skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and strong organizational and time management skills, with EMR experience being strongly preferred.

· Prepare and process correspondence on behalf of assigned medical offices/providers.
· Review and update patient insurance information in the medical record as assigned.
· Process/file documents within EMR into patient chart.
· Re-route documents to appropriate office locations in EMR.
· Send completed pre-op paperwork to surgical practices/hospital/etc.
· Review & update patient upcoming appointment copay information.
· Submit and follow up on requested tests and referrals ordered by provider.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, health sciences, public health or related field preferred.
· High school diploma or equivalent required
