The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic services by taking images, which may involve positioning, photographing, and developing film, working under the direction of a radiologist or physician. Responsibilities include accurately documenting services, maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, and performing assigned radiological testing within the scope of practice.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA Accredited Radiology Program or equivalent and hold certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (AART) or equivalent, along with current and unrestricted state licensure if applicable. A minimum of one year of radiology technologist experience in a clinical setting is required, along with necessary CPR certification and health screenings as mandated by the client facility.
The RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST(X-RAY TECH) performs diagnostic radiographic services by taking radiographs, images made by passing x-rays through an area of the body. Services may include positioning, photographing, and developing film. The Radiologic Technologist works under the direction of the radiologist or physician.

Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Accredited Radiology Program or equivalent. Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists or equivalent.
State specific; current and unrestricted licensure, if applicable; certification by AART.
At least one year radiology technologist experience in the clinical setting.
CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.
Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
