The Radiologic Technologist performs technical procedures involving the application of prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis under the direction of a Radiologist or DI Administration. Responsibilities include operating complex electronic equipment for various radiographic exams and assisting physicians with contrast media administration.
Candidates must complete a 2-year approved Radiological Technology Program and hold a current Connecticut State license, along with being registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists. A current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification for CPR is required, and one year of practical experience as a radiographer is preferred.
