The technologist operates vascular ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for various arterial and venous exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures. Duties also include completing and charging for all exams, maintaining accurate records, and transmitting images to the PACS system.
A High School Diploma and satisfactory completion of an accredited program in Vascular Ultrasound or Medical Sonography are required, with Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred. Candidates must be proficient in operating specific vascular ultrasound equipment and possess strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to adapt positioning techniques for optimal imaging.

Insight Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role primarily involves performing vascular ultrasound procedures in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in arterial duplex, venous duplex, ankle-brachial indices (ABIs), renal vascular ultrasound, carotid ultrasound and vein mapping for venous reflux.
These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.
