The Licensed Practical Nurse I functions as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse to meet the technical care needs of specified patients. Duties include delivering patient-centered nursing care, applying excellent telephonic customer service, and ensuring proper utilization of hospital resources.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of practical nursing and hold a current LPN license in the State of Illinois, along with current ACLS and Basic Life Support certifications. Required abilities include quickly recognizing changes in patient condition and maintaining high accuracy in work duties.
The Licensed Practical Nurse I works as a team member with other ancillary personnel under the direction of the registered professional nurse to meet technical care needs for a specified population of patients.
