The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the primary healthcare of patients within their specialty area, including evaluation, planning, and implementing care goals under medical staff direction. Duties also involve serving as a role model, utilizing expert clinical knowledge, prescribing treatment, and consulting on patient and family education.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a Master’s degree in Nursing, along with current RN and APN licenses in Illinois. Required credentials also include a current DEA License and certification as an advanced practice nurse, with clinical experience in Pain Management and Chronic Pain being essential.
