The Peer Support Specialist will utilize lived experience to provide emotional support, share recovery insights, and guide individuals through resources for lasting wellness, focusing on those overcoming substance use disorders. This role involves motivating patients to engage in treatment, explore self-help options, and build confidence in their recovery journey.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a self-identified current or former user of behavioral health services or a family member with relatable experience. A minimum of two years of demonstrated sobriety is required for those in personal recovery, along with Maryland Peer Support Specialist Certification.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will use your lived experience to offer meaningful emotional support, share recovery insights, and help individuals navigate the resources that can guide them toward lasting wellness. Your presence brings hope, encouragement, and connection to those working to overcome active substance use disorders.
