The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical support in a busy orthopedic practice focusing on total joint replacement, managing patient evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment planning for operative and non-operative conditions. Essential duties include assisting surgeons in the operating room for total joint procedures and managing post-operative follow-up care.
Candidates must be full-time and possess the necessary California licenses and certifications for either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, including prescribing privileges and a DEA certificate. Orthopedic experience is preferred, and the ideal applicant must demonstrate independence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, team-oriented setting.
The Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical support in a busy orthopedic practice environment, with a focus on total joint replacement and joint reconstruction, including hip and knee arthroplasty. Working under physician supervision, this role supports patients through evaluations, follow-ups, diagnostic review, and treatment planning for both operative and non-operative orthopedic conditions. Responsibilities include medication management and refills, select new patient visits, imaging review (X-ray and MRI), and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests for pre- and post-operative total joint patients.
This position is full-time and supports orthopedic physicians specializing in total hip and knee replacement and complex joint reconstruction. The ideal candidate demonstrates independence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, team-oriented environment.
