The OASIS Nurse is responsible for the detailed review of OASIS clinical assessment documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance, while also educating clinical staff on documentation, code selection, and Plan of Care development. This role involves capturing clinical severity, addressing trends affecting agency measures, and assisting leadership with data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and hold a current and valid NYS Registered Professional Nurse license, along with 1 to 2 years of Home Health care experience. Required knowledge includes CMS, OASIS, ICD-10 Coding requirements, Federal and NYS Department of Health regulations, and The Joint Commission requirements.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a OASIS Nurse.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for analyzing data integrity and consistency of OASIS documentation and assessment processes. Educates/works with clinical staff to clarify documentation and data integrity issues. Ensures appropriate coding and sequencing.
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Nursing. Current and valid NYS Registered Professional Nurse license and registration. 1 - 2 years Home Health care experience. Working knowledge of CMS, OASIS and ICD-10 Coding requirements. Knowledge of Federal and NYS Department of Health regulations. Knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements. Able to promote and strengthen continuous quality improvement concepts. Working knowledge of computer systems and electronic medical record. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Critical thinking. Meticulous attention to detail..
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS
OASIS C Certification (COS-C). ICD-10 Certification (HCS-D). 1-2 years OASIS review/Coding experience in a Home Health agency.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $119,101.60 - $130,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
