The technician is responsible for preparing the endoscopy suite according to physician specifications and assisting with patient positioning during procedures. They must work closely with the endo team and physician to maintain a clean and safe environment while ensuring all procedural needs are met.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and current BLS certification, with one year of experience as an endoscopy technician preferred. Experience in endoscope reprocessing is also preferred.
Endoscopy Technician West Bay Surgery Center is a busy, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Largo, FL. We are a Monday through Friday facility with no nights or holidays. We are looking for an experienced endoscopy tech to join our team. Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Current BLS certification 1 year as an endoscopy tech preferred Experience in endoscope reprocessing preferred Skills and Abilities Prepare the endo suite for each patient per physician specifications Assist with patient positioning Work with the endo team to provide a clean and safe environment during procedures Work closely with the physician during each procedure to ensure needs are met Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be a team player and possess excellent communication skills Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace while being detail oriented Work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure supplies remain stocked Physical Demands Standing and Walking 80-100% Lift up to 50 lbs as needed Ability to push/pull stretcher
