About the role

The Registered Nurse delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, while effectively interacting with patients and the healthcare team. Essential functions include directing and supervising less skilled personnel, preparing patients for examinations, assessing health needs, and instructing on health topics.

Position Title: Registered Nurse

Reports to: Director of Sites

Classification: Exempt

CareSTL Health is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to join the team! The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Department Director, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, sigiificant others, and others health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Essential functions

The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.

Directs and supervises less skilled nursing/health care personnel, or supervises a particular unit on one shift

Prepares patients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments

Assesses the needs of individuals, families, and/or communities, including assessment of individuals' home and/or work environments to identify potential health or safety problems

Instructs individuals, families, and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and childbirth, and develops health improvement programs

Prepares rooms, sterilizes instruments, equipment, and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained

Additional Duties

Administers oral, inhalation, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal and other routes

Conducts specified laboratory tests as directed in CareSTL Health's Policies and Procedures for Standing Orders under the direction of a physician

Directs and coordinates infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions

Provides or arrange for training/instruction of auxiliary personnel and community stakeholders Refers patients to specialized health resources or community agencies

Consults with institutions or associations regarding issues and concerns relevant to the practice and the profession of nursing

Works with individuals, groups, and families to plan and implement programs designed to improve the overall health of communities' outcomes

Communicates with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills Performs additional duties as

Job requirenients and qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required
  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri required Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) required Current CPR Certification required

Experience

• 0-5 yrs of experience in a Community Health Center

Additional Information

Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

11 paid holidays per year.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of Nursing and hold valid registration as an RN in the State of Missouri, along with current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS) and CPR Certification. Experience of 0-5 years in a Community Health Center is required.
