The Medical Assistant III is responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care, including gathering histories, performing routine office testing, and assisting with procedures. This role also manages chart documentation and ensures efficient patient flow within the department.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant Program and possess current Medical Assistant certification, along with a minimum of five years of medical assisting experience and two years in a specialty area. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and CPR certification is required.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
