Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus surrounded by Farm student housing for 300 + youth, a Thrift Store, Cafe, Barbershop and Church open to the community incorporating life skills for our students. Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more).

Pay: $23 an hour

What you will do

The Medical Assistant works as a staff member of the Student Services team. Primarily responsible for serving as an assistant to the entire Student Health Services Department. Coordinates the flow of students to be seen by the healthcare professionals within program and the scheduling of students to be seen by outside health care professionals. Depending on location, the Medical Assistant reports to the Medical Manager and/or Medical Coordinator.

To be considered you should

High school diploma or equivalent~ 1 year of working in a child welfare or agency~ MA,EMT or CNA certification required ~Bilingual in Spanish and English~ Must be licensed or eligible for licensure ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC), physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
