The pharmacist evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness, including drug, dosage, and potential interactions, making recommendations to physicians and staff as needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining patient databases, ensuring appropriate laboratory tests are ordered and evaluated, and implementing policies for the safe handling and disposal of drugs.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and hold a current license in the state of practice, with knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations being required. A Pharm D and one year of retail pharmacy experience are desired, along with multi-state licenses being ideal.
Work Experience • Desired: One year experience in retail pharmacy
