The technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures following established protocols, which includes explaining procedures to patients, operating imaging equipment accurately, and ensuring optimal image quality for diagnosis. Responsibilities also cover practicing radiation safety for patients and self, critiquing images, and maintaining patient care during the procedure.
Candidates must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and maintain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Essential functions involve accurate order review, patient identification validation, obtaining pertinent medical history, ensuring equipment functionality, and demonstrating competence in positioning and radiation safety.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, converse, and listen; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis and be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis.
