The MRI technologist operates MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. They are responsible for interviewing patients, explaining procedures, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in accordance with physician protocols.
This role is needed to ensure consistent Saturday coverage, enhancing patient access to appointments and helping to reduce MRI scheduling wait times.
In addition, the position will serve as supplemental coverage for PTO, unplanned absences, and times when additional staffing is necessary.

As a technologist, you are asked to operate MRI scanners and to ensure that the procedure produces quality images and information for the health care professional to make an accurate diagnosis.

Develop relationships with patients as you help diagnose their condition as an MRI technologist.

Education Associate's Degree Completion of an accredited 2 year program in a school of Radiologic, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required) or Other Accredited Program: Completion of an accredited program in a school of Sonography with current ARDMS certificate (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Work Experience MR scanning experience. (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of sterile and surgical procedures. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of radiology information system. (Required proficiency) Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machine and emergency equipment.
