The Scheduler is responsible for arranging procedures according to facility policy to meet patient and physician needs, which includes pre-certifying procedures and verifying insurance coverage. This role involves considering priorities and coordinating schedules based on staff availability, patient needs, and physician block time.
The minimum qualifications suggest a preference for a High School Diploma and experience within a surgical facility, alongside proficiency in MS Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Essential functions require strong organizational skills for managing complex scheduling logistics and coordinating clinical activities.
The Scheduler arranges procedures following Facility policy and protocol to meet the needs of the patient and physician. In addition, this role is responsible for pre-certifying procedures and verifying insurance coverage for scheduled cases.
