Primary duties involve assisting medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients, preparing them for examination, and assisting with procedures and specialty-related tests. The role also includes administrative tasks such as scheduling, updating records, ordering labs, facilitating prescriptions, and managing referrals.
Candidates should ideally have at least one year of prior Medical Assistant experience, with specialty care and phlebotomy experience being a plus, and certification through a national agency is strongly preferred. Required qualifications include prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with EPIC, current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire, and a commitment to patient-focused care.
