The Phlebotomy Technician performs venipuncture and various routine laboratory procedures to support the Medical Department, including preparing patients and accurately collecting and labeling specimens. Duties also involve performing Point of Care testing, maintaining system logs, and handling various tasks within the EHR system like chart prep and order tracking.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and an active Phlebotomy Certification, along with clinical experience drawing blood from Geriatric and Pediatric patients. Preferred experience is one year of Phlebotomy experience, and candidates must be proficient with computers and possess excellent manual dexterity.
