The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant implements and executes established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, while communicating with patients, families, and physicians. This role also requires providing timely written documentation to meet various regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant curriculum and able to practice unencumbered while being in good standing with all regulatory agencies. Essential qualifications include working knowledge of Medicare/payer sources, full knowledge of resident's rights, professionalism, multitasking ability, and current CPR certification.
