Personal Assistants are responsible for providing quality daily care, including personal hygiene, housekeeping, and meal preparation, to ensure the health and safety of intellectually or developmentally disabled adults in a group home. Duties also involve assisting clients with achieving goals defined in their Individual Habilitation Plan and supporting them with self-administration of medication.
Candidates must possess a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license, along with a unique sensitivity to appropriately respond to clients experiencing difficulties. Experience working with developmental disabilities is preferred.
