The Personal Assistant is responsible for providing quality daily care, including personal hygiene, housekeeping, and meal preparation, while teaching/supporting clients with daily living skills as defined in their Individual Habilitation Plan. Duties also include demonstrating medication understanding, using proper body mechanics for transfers, de-escalating crises, and maintaining accurate records.
Candidates must possess a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license, along with a unique sensitivity to respond appropriately to clients with difficulties. Experience working with developmental disabilities is preferred.
