The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for delivering patient care throughout the preoperative, interoperative, and postoperative phases of surgery using the nursing process framework. This includes comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, and implementing tailored care plans while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing holding a current Registered Nurse License and current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. Essential abilities include comprehensive professional knowledge, proficiency in all phases of surgical patient care, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
