The Peer Support Specialist will partner with the Program Manager to support clients in the Housing with Supports for Adults with Serious Mental Illness (HSASMI) Program by modeling wellness and empowering recovery. Responsibilities include meeting with clients to work on goals, attending appointments, researching community resources, and brainstorming solutions using the Critical Time Intervention model.
Candidates must successfully complete the DHS Certified Peer Specialist training and certification exam within two months of hire, which Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota will pay for. Applicants must also be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED, along with lived experience with mental illness.
