The primary responsibilities involve collecting blood samples via venipuncture, heel, or finger stick, and obtaining other specimens from patients. Additionally, the role includes preparing specimens for testing and performing necessary receptionist and clerical duties.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET certification, and preferably possess NHA or ASCP certification in phlebotomy. One year of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced clinical outpatient laboratory environment is preferred.
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Phlebotomist for its Marshalltown office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
include: Collects blood samples by venipuncture, heel or finger stick. Obtains urine and other specimens from patients. Prepares specimens for in-house testing or for send-out to reference labs. Performs receptionist and other clerical duties as needed.
Monday - Friday.
