The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will find purpose by providing guidance, encouragement, and building purposeful relationships with individuals using a person-centered approach to care. Responsibilities also include advocating for individuals in all aspects of life, maintaining documentation, and participating in required meetings and training.
Candidates must possess the desire to help individuals with disabilities achieve their goals through person-centered support, with no formal education or previous experience required. Applicants must also have basic computer skills, the ability to read and write in English, and must pass both a DHS background check and a Motor Vehicle Check, including possessing a valid driver's license.
Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase up to $16.50/hour.
