The specialist will provide technical assistance for diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures, including scrubbing in and manipulating devices like catheters and guide-wires under physician supervision. Responsibilities also include injecting contrast media and medications, and accurately documenting all procedure details according to hospital policy.
Candidates must be a graduate of an AMA Approved School in Radiography and hold current registration by A.R.R.T. and licensure by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), along with a current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree in Radiography and at least one year of specialized training.
