Job summary

• Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is currently seeking a General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join our team.
• This full-time, hospital-employed position offers a balance of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding responsibilities, working alongside an experienced surgical team to deliver exceptional care.
• The APP will provide pre- and post-operative management, assist in surgical cases, and support patients throughout their care.
• Candidates must be Board Certified with a NYS License.

• Steady referral of new patients
• 14 OR’s with 2 Da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems
• Will manage inpatient services and new consults
• Will assist with post-op and low acuity outpatient visits
• Opportunity for growth and additional responsibilities
• Operative experience is not required

Education/Experience requirements

Required

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital priviledges.
• Knowledge and competency in a wide range of clinical areas.
• Familiar with EHR/EMR software.

Licensure/Certification requirements

Required

• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.
• Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.
