Position Summary

ICU RN Full Time - Three 12s Night Shift

Responsibilities

Provides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring. Uses clinical judgment and assessment data to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions. Operates, monitors, and adjusts specialized medical equipment and interprets data from monitoring systems. Responds to emergencies using established nursing standards, protocols, and life-saving interventions. Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes. Advocates for patients and families while ensuring age-appropriate care across the lifespan. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or educator. Documents care accurately, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures compliance with evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education/Training Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department. Licensure/Certification Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Experience At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting

Requires a nursing degree and a current State of Alabama or eNLC multistate RN license. Must have BLS/Healthcare Provider certification and at least one year of acute care RN experience.
