The representative must perform point-of-service activities, which involves collecting copayments and self-pay amounts from patients. Accuracy in data entry and adherence to registration protocols are essential for this clerical function.
Serves as initial contact for Cardiology Department, is responsible for registering and pre-registering patients, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility at time of registration, verifies patient demographics and accurately inputs this information in the registration application. Performs point of service activities, collecting copayments and self-pay payments.
