The clinical psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services, including psychological evaluations, various forms of therapy, treatment planning, and discharge coordination for patients undergoing psychiatric care and rehabilitation. This role involves serving as a key member of the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate individualized, age-appropriate care and documenting all interventions accurately.
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited graduate school and have two years of clinical experience, with the second year being post-graduate and supervised by a licensed professional. Licensure as a clinical psychologist in Virginia or West Virginia is required, along with successful completion of de-escalation training within four months of hire.
Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health care providers. Must have a commitment to continuing education.
