The role involves performing all duties of a staff Radiologic Technologist with a specialization in Mammography, including monitoring quality control programs and assisting radiologists with interventional examinations. Essential functions also include providing superior customer service, maintaining detailed patient logs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Candidates must have successful completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program and possess in-depth knowledge of Mammography imaging procedures gained through 3-5 years of experience as a Mammographic Technologist. Required credentials include Mammographic Technologist Certification, a valid Massachusetts license in Radiologic Technology and Mammography, ARRT certification, and maintaining BLS certification.
Maintains good communications with patients, referring physicians, nursing staff, and other Radiology clients. Responsible for the quality of images produces and submitted to the Radiologists for interpretation. VII.
Minimum Education: Successful completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program. Minimum Experience: In depth knowledge of Mammography imaging procedures at a level gained through 3-5 years of experience as a Mammographic Technologist. Minimum skills/abilities: Work requires vast knowledge of Radiographic and Mammographic procedures and equipment operation. Must have excellent communication skills to lead other to work effectively with physicians and other health care workers. Certification/Licensure: Certification as a Mammographic Technologist. Valid Massachusetts license in Radiologic Technology, Mammography and ARRT certification.
