The Physical Therapy Assistant implements treatment plans developed by a supervising physical therapist, reinforcing therapeutic plans through instruction to patients and caregivers in their homes. They are also responsible for communicating patient progress, goal changes, and discharge needs back to the supervising physical therapist.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and be registered as a Physical Therapy Assistant with the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, along with a minimum of two years of therapy assistant experience. Required qualifications also include CPR Certification, a satisfactory criminal and motor vehicle record, reliable vehicle, and insurance, plus a commitment to working one weekend a month and sharing holiday rotations.
