The position involves supporting daily pharmacy workflow by preparing and dispensing medications, performing intravenous compounding, and assisting with inventory management under pharmacist supervision. Technicians are also accountable for maintaining a safe environment, using aseptic technique, handling controlled substances, and adhering to all educational and policy requirements.
Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification. Candidates must also possess at least 6 months of experience specifically compounding intravenous medication.
