The position involves supporting daily pharmacy workflow by preparing and dispensing medications, performing intravenous medication compounding, and assisting with inventory management under pharmacist supervision. Technicians are also accountable for maintaining a safe environment, using aseptic technique, and handling controlled substances appropriately.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. A minimum of 6 months of experience compounding IV medication and active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification are required.
