The Clinical Pharmacist will assist doctors and nurses by safely prescribing and dispensing medications, reviewing every prescription for safety concerns like drug interactions, dosing, and allergies. Responsibilities also include documenting clinical activities, interpreting medication orders, and communicating drug information to patients and professionals.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree upon hire, along with an active Arizona Pharmacist license and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification. The role prefers candidates who enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide patient solutions.
Incumbent performs initial evaluations for newly referred patients to determine the primary and secondary problems involved, to collect baseline data regarding findings of tests and measurements and other appropriate factors, and to determine the appropriateness of the prescribed care. Incumbent also develops a patient treatment plan, to establish goals and carry out the treatment plan to ensure proper patient care.
