Respiratory Therapists perform specialized respiratory care including ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, drawing arterial blood gases, and providing oxygen therapies. Responsibilities also involve assessing and evaluating therapy effectiveness and educating patients on their care plans.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and be CRT certified by NBRC, obtaining RRT within one year of hire. Active licensure in Nebraska and/or Iowa is required, along with specific AHA certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) within set timeframes.
