The Surgical Tech will prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team by setting up equipment, ensuring a sterile environment, and adapting quickly to various surgical procedures. Responsibilities include consistently demonstrating proper care of instruments, adhering to aseptic technique principles, and facilitating efficient room turnover.
Candidates must possess advanced skills in operating room technology and proficient knowledge of surgical procedures, demonstrated through observation and feedback. Required qualifications include certification as a Surgical Technologist and a minimum of two years of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist across all surgical specialties, along with Basic Life Support - CPR certification.

Observation, Feedback, Equipment condition. Consistently demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique according to policy and procedures and practices within the guidelines described in Universal Precautions.

Observation, Feedback, Equipment condition. Facilitates movement of surgery schedule through timely room turnover, communicating with appropriate persons for case progress and delays, through consistent and accurate anticipation of team needs.
