One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.To be successful in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Transfers and positions patients.
Independently performs all diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician.
Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety procedures.
Accepts responsibility for filming and developing examinations, including laser printing.
Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required.
Job Requirements Required More than six (6) months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist Current certification of The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT ARRT) Current Certified Radiology Technologist certification (CT CRT) Current Fluoroscopy permit (CT RTTF) Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
Must be qualified to perform as a level II Radiology Technician. Ability to work a schedule including evenings and weekends is required.
