The Histotechnologist performs all designated Community Hospital Pathology procedures, including embedding, microtomy, staining, histochemistry, and cytology processing. They are also responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and communicating critical values or irregularities to the Supervisor or ordering physicians.
Candidates must possess either a Bachelor's Degree or an Associate degree with HT (ASCP) certification. HT/HTL (ASCP) certification is preferred or must be obtained within two years of hiring.
