About the role

This role involves participating as a member of the Early Intervention Services Team to deliver crisis intervention, education, and support services to mental health consumers to prevent hospitalization. The advocate provides care to adult patients and collaborates as part of an Interdisciplinary Team, offering education and support to consumers and their families.

Responsibilities

Daily work site will be at 140 Boulevard, Washington, NJ Participates as a member of the Early Intervention Services Team to provide crisis intervention, education and support services to consumers of mental health services in an effort to prevent hospitalization and unnecessary use of psychiatric screening and psychiatric emergency services. Provides care to adult patients. Participates as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team. Provides education and support to consumer and/or their families.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Primary consumer who has demonstrated volunteer or paid work experience with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.
