The Residential Counselor is responsible for maintaining a safe milieu and providing patient-centered care for patients in a residential treatment setting specializing in co-occurring disorders. Duties include reviewing shift information, preparing and conducting psycho-educational groups, and participating in milieu-related meetings.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the health field or equivalent. Candidates must register to become a CA AOD counselor within 90 days of hire, and experience with addictions or co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
