This role involves working with families and team members, providing community resource referrals, and ensuring care is delivered effectively and efficiently.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program is required, along with active licensure by the Oregon State Board of Health and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Candidates must possess one year of experience with therapy procedures for medical-based diagnoses and meet driving requirements.
$44.01 - $66.02 + Relocation Assistance Available

Our department operates as a system department and provides services to Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility and Outpatient settings across four campuses. Our Rehabilitation departments offer a variety of specialty services across the various services delivery areas. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, plans, and provides treatment and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician. Works with family and team members regarding patient’s abilities and goals. This position does not directly manage any other caregivers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES Adheres to Oregon State Speech-Language Licensing Board Standards. Performs evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, hearing, language, voice, cognitive or swallowing disorders. Provides community resource, knowledge and referral services. Provides staff consultation and training. May be required to drive Rehabilitation van and meet all related SCHS vehicle policy requirements. Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to assure care is accomplished effectively and efficiently in a cost effective manner. Participates in clinical care conferencing. Gathers data and accurately documents information in a timely manner demonstrating compliance with department standards. Participates with team members in facilitating patient’s and family’s learning throughout the course of care. Reinforces patient’s continued health care through teaching and/or referral to community agency follow-up. Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects.
