About the role

The coordinator manages and coordinates patient treatment activities, interfacing with the treatment team, external case managers, and managed care organizations. This role also involves coordinating and tracking all admission and continuation stay reviews for pre-certifications and actively participating in aftercare planning.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Job Duties include

Responsible for managing and coordinating the treatment activities offered to the patient, interface with the treatment team/external case managers/managed care organizations, referring professionals and implementation and supervision of the discharge planning. Coordinates and tracks all of the admission and continue stay reviews for pre-certifications Actively participates in treatment team and works directly with the patient’s in aftercare planning and setting up appointments and facilitates placement referrals for discharge as appropriate

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or other Mental Health field or RN license is preferred. Minimum Associate Degree with 5 years mental health experience required.
  • Certifications/Licensure: Crisis intervention training is required and is offered upon hire. CPR is required and offered upon hire.

Experience

  • One to two years of experience in a psychiatric hospital is preferred. One to two years of experience in Utilization Management preferred.

Requirements

A minimum of an Associate Degree with five years of mental health experience is required, although a Master's degree in a mental health field or an RN license is preferred. Required certifications include Crisis Intervention Training and CPR, both offered upon hire.
