Technologists are responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening and radiation safety protocols when handling radioactive materials, while producing high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images. They must also effectively communicate with customers/radiologists and train new staff, while troubleshooting scanner and peripheral equipment.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent experience and hold dual certification as a Nuclear Medicine or PET Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT) and a Computed Tomography Technologist (ARRT). A state license, CPR certification, and the ability to work at several locations are also required.
